Located in the heart of world-class skiing, many celebrated mountains are less than an hour from the cottage (Sugarloaf - Sunday River - Saddlback - Black Mountain & more). Try your hand at ice fishing on nearby Webb Lake, or shred your way through white gold in the 38 miles of maintained snowmobile trails in Mount Blue State Park, just minutes from the property!

Explore endless local vistas and impossibly starry skies in this unoffical 'dark sky' communty. Or better yet, bring your drone, or telescope for poular 'leaf-peeping' in the fall or to peer deep into the cosmos from our viewing deck or by one of our outside firepits at night!

"We had the best time at this Airbnb! We were there for four days on a ski trip and truly loved every minute. The cabin was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in and had everything we needed. The fireplace and the heated floors were so nice after long cold days outside. It's very well located with quite a few mountains around to ski and enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities.
We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, well-equipped home base for a Maine ski trip!"

"We stayed here for between 2-3 weeks and absolutely loved it. My son loved the loft and had a great time enjoying the forest. It’s close enough to town to grab coffee or breakfast but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. The hosts are incredibly responsive and just very kind people in general. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"We loved staying at the Firefly cottage! We were looking for a place to stay near Mount Blue state park where we could bring our dog and this was perfect. Only minutes away from the park for cross-country skiing and then back at the cottage we snowshoed around the property with our dog so she had some fun, too. The cottage has been beautifully updated with all the amenities to make for a comfortable stay. I loved the big windows in the upstairs bedroom looking out over the surrounding woods - it was like being in our own personal treehouse. Carolyne and Todd were great to communicate with, super helpful and left clear instructions for how to take care of things. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful setting with access to lots of outdoor adventures, this is the place."

"We loved our stay! The cottage was so comfortable and perfectly appointed. Everything had a place and there was a spot to put our things. I love when I can actually unpack on vaca and not live out of a suitcase.
The kitchen had literally everything we needed to prepare meals with tons of cookware and basic spices. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was huge! They even supplied really nice shampoo and conditioner.
The cottage was close to all that we love about Maine- hiking and biking. Tumbledown is a short drive away and Bald mountain is only 3 miles away!
There’s a little store close by to get basic supplies but larger towns are only ab a half hour away. It truly was a magical vacation."

"This property is great for a quiet family getaway. The stream beds offer alot of opportunities for exploration, the cottage itself has everything a family of 3 needed for some good quality time. Star gazing, game night, movie night, and home cooking, were fun and easy here. Its a great location between Wilton and Mt Blue State Park. The bedrooms are creative and fun - The beds were comfortable and water hot, good water pressure! It was so quiet, we loved falling asleep to the sound of the stream. No AC, but we didn't need it anyway- it was in the 70s and sunny, cool at night so leaving the windows open kept the cottage at a perfect temperature. We enjoyed the rec room for movie night and the boardgames available - Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet family getaway near nature."

"We truly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect Maine getaway! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The cabin was spacious, spotless, beautiful, and filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. The property itself made this trip unforgettable, we loved exploring it (our kids loved finding salamanders, frogs, slugs, snails). We spent our days hiking, fishing, swimming (mount blue state park) and evenings around the bonfire stargazing, downtime playing games and watching movies in the rec room. It was the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and quality family time. The location was ideal, amazing hiking trails and lakes just a short drive away, yet we were just as happy enjoying everything the property offered. The hosts were incredibly kind, accommodating, very responsive, and truly made us feel cared for. This cabin is a true gem, and we wholeheartedly recommend it for a perfect Maine escape. We would absolutely love to come back!"
